It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart

Without saying a word, you can light up the dark

Try as I may, I can never explain

What I hear when you don't say a thing…

You say it best, when you say nothing at all - Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz

"When You Say Nothing at All" was co-written by Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz in about an hour. Despite initially struggling to develop a concept, the song quickly fell into place and became a hit for four singers.

This emotional week that has just passed brought about a whirlwind of feelings. As if the situation cannot get any worse, our area was surrounded by wildfires that took a few days to control and thank goodness that is behind us.

Here is another cover of the above song.

I find it hard to say nothing at all so I would like to share some light about Professional Development and LLL - Lifelong Learning. As the educational year is nearing to an end I have been fortunate to be involved with a number of teacher refresher courses and I am always amazed at the learning that goes on in these courses. I learn so much from the teachers I work with and I understand that the feelings are mutual. It is very important to enroll in courses, go to ETAI and other conferences online or F2F.

"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." George Bernard Shaw

I found this site about LLL very interesting and I encourage you to read it and don;t stop learning!

Quotes about natural disasters

"Bad things do happen in the world, like war, natural disasters, disease. But out of those situations always arise stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things." - Daryn Kagan

"While natural disasters capture headlines and national attention short-term, the work of recovery and rebuilding is long-term." - Sylvia Mathews Burwell

"In a world in which man-made and natural disasters are only multiplying by the day, it's important to remember that we haven't lost everything until we've lost our ability to laugh." - Cord Jefferson

May 2023

Hallelujah was the Israeli entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 1979 in Jerusalem performed by Gali Atari & Milk and Honey. At times like these we could definitely use a word like Hallelujah to fill our hearts with joy.

Our thoughts are with Yuval Raphael and we wish her the best of luck in the Eurovision competition taking place on the 13th of May.
