It's that time of the year when I can reflect on all that I have posted throughout the year. And a huge thank you to the loyal followers who read the blog, comment where you can, take part in the regular quizzes and send me clips from the field. Together we make our lessons exciting and fun and our pupils definitely benefit from this.

A reminder that you can slow the video down if the video is too fast for your class.

Hanukkah Playlist

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you happy holidays. Winter Vacations, Hanukkah and Christmas Holidays. I have created a special Hanukkah Playlist of songs from the past years.

Enjoy!

Hare are a few Hanukkah activities for your pupils from the portal

From the British Council - Hanukkah

British Council Christmas

And to those of you that are celebrating Christmas - here is a beautiful version of, “All I want for Christmas” by the Ndlovu Youth Choir

 A very colorful video indeed.

For the younger learners you can ask them what colours they see.

Special Dialogues and Reader's Theatre Scripts for Hanukkah

Hanukkah and Christmas Dialogues and Reader's Theatre CEFR A1

Hanukkah and Christmas Dialogues and Reader's Theatre CEFR A2

The texts have been created by Chat GPT are Hanukkah Christmas specific. They can easily be adapted to other cultures and holidays.

These are great ways to get your students reading, listening and speaking in your classroom.

Another Hanukah song

Another Hanukah song for Junior High - You can get access to the lyrics in Youtube under more. Once you have the lyrics you can work the words to create bingo sheets, crosswords, games with the words. Your pupils will love it.

Winter Vacation

"It's that time of the year again, to get together with all your friends, and be thankful for everything that makes you feel better." These words are from this song from Lingokids. Teach the song to your pupils before they go on their winter breaks. Hoping for enough snow to build a snowman!

Teach your pupils this song and sing it with them.

Musical Joke of the Week

Apparently, Princess Anne once tried to "hatch" some pebbles in an incubator. Prince Charles had told her they were lizard eggs. Sting put her straight. He said "Those are rocks Anne. You don't have to put on the red light."

The Final Note:

Looking forward to eventually meeting you all one day F2F - Wishing you all a well deserved holiday and keep warm.

PS. My genetic experiments have produced a dolphin with legs! I’ll become famous! Everyone’s telling me to remove the legs, but that would "defeet" the porpoise.

P.P.S. If you know of a colleague, friend, relative or parent that is not part of
