Happy Friday to all of you. Hope the school year is going well and that you have started your weekly lessons with a bang.
This last week I observed a school in Ein Rafa - Ein Akuba and I was delighted to see the different Youtube videos that were being used there. I say delighted as you should have seen the smiles on the childrens' faces as they were singing to the Phonic Alphabet Song
and the letter sound songs of Jack Hartman.
Amazingly simple melodies with great graphics.
The dates are being finalized for our national visits. I want to remind you that we are teaming up with the National Library Program and we will be visiting all the major areas in the next few months. We will be running cluster meetings in all areas, from Eilat to Metulla.
We love these kinds of projects and we would like to visit you in the field when we will be in your area. If you would like to be a part of this project, please be in touch with me via this number or my email at
This week's tool can be found at http://www.vocaroo.com and is a site where students can record themselves effortlessly and send the recording to their teachers via the site.
Highly recommended if you want your students to practice reading, oral work and singing at home. Did I mention it is free as well? All you need is a computer microphone.
Looking for inspiration? Take a peek at the choirs that have just been on "America's Got Talent program". Some amazing stuff and worth watching.
Do you want to do a great listening exercise? Try this virtual barber haircut. You will need stereo speakers for this to be effective.
Let the students close their eyes and tell you what they hear. Which ear is the sound coming through?
Left or Right
If you know of any teachers that are not part of this Whatsapp group and want to, please send them this link...
That's it for this week
