It's that time of the week again and here is this week's update. Two videos caught my eye this week.
The first video comes from Asnat Lumer Puppets and she works with puppets. If you remember her video of her pupils singing two songs with their puppets. (You can see these videos on our site). She now has a Youtube channel and I recommend that you subscribe because her videos are fantastic. Check out her lastest video on her channel.
Using puppets to assist people to sing and read is very beneficial and successful.
The second video that I came across is aimed at senior elementary and gives me an idea that any student can make up words to any rhythm or melody.
This young woman made up lyrics from Instagram posts. If she can do it to a melody, surely our pupils can rap / chant word chunks and sentences to learn new vocabulary.
Easy rap rhythm -
Here is a nice video for the adventurous type. Using lines from songs to get your point across in a fun way. If you need assistance with this idea let me know.
A huge shout out to the teachers that have reached out and invited LIT for a visit. We love to see what is going on in the field.
Finally, immediately after this update I will send a PDF file if you are interested in presenting or sharing your fantastic lessons online via Akademia Bareshet.
Have a great weekend and best of luck for the first term.
If any of your colleagues feel that you have more ideas than them - send them this link and they can get regular updates too.
