Forgive me for being a few days late yet unfortunately I was unable to send off an update on Friday. I am trying to get my head around all this craziness and strange times. I am now focusing on what I gained / or can still gain from this Covid 19 Expereince. Besides the two completed puzzles, I really feel that it's time to focus on the good. So with all this uncertainty there are good things that are happening.
1) Although the concert in Afula never took place, we have recorded a lesson and the songs that we were supposed to sing and this will be broadcasted in the very near future. I remind you that this iniative was created by Dr Tziona Levy (National Director of English Language Education) and Mr Betzalel Kuperwasser (National Director of Music Education). English teachers in the Northern districs that were part of "Shir shel Yom" program were selected to take part.
This was an amazing experience and although this public event never took place, the songs and activities will be broadcast very soon.
Playlist of the Week
The British Council have come out with a nice selection of songs. These songs are an addition to the wealth of songs on their site.
Check out these songs and search the site for classics.
Tool of the Week
Thinglink - www.thinglink.com
What is ThingLink? ThingLink is a free and user friendly digital tool that provides users with the ability to turn any image into an interactive graphic. Create multiple “hot spots” on specific parts of an image and turn that image into a multimedia launcher.
Over these last few weeks I have had a number of teachers and pupils send me work that they are doing. Some teachers are braving it and writing songs, some teachers are creating amazing worksheets around certain songs.
Keep up the fantastic work.
Finally, to keep you singing...Check out these treausre troves
Have a great week and be careful out there.
