We are all going on a summer holiday. The learn in tune broadcasts are going on holiday until the last two weeks in August.
What not to do!
Do not remove yourselves from the broadcast lists thinking you will rejoin in August. Do not remove yourself from the lists because it is cluttering your Whatsapp. Enjoy your summer vacation as who knows, something extraordinary may happen in the summer and we will tell you about it. However, we will see you again officially in late August.
Before we go… here is the 60th broadcast
Thank you to all of you that embraced the ideas and sang with your classes. I am sure the pupils enjoyed learning this way as well. I have no doubt that many more people are using music and song in the class and my hope that next year we will be able to collaborate on a larger scale. We would love to hear from you via email or Whatsapp.
I have a saying – If you don’t take pictures/videos, then it didn’t happen. You have a way to pass your ideas forward. Please share with us.
So what did we set out to achieve this year?
The site was constantly updated.
We ran a successful hishtalmut with Matach about Learn in Tune and we will be running another one next year.
We made a video of teachers, counselors and inspectors, singing you can “Count on me” by Bruno Mars.
The moment Covid restrictions were lifted, school visits were made. What an amazing experience I had, going into different schools singing and dancing with teachers and pupils. It’s a great way to enhance your lessons. I’m looking forward to more visits next year.
Our highly successful and virtual E-Talent competition..
Constant exchange of videos of teachers and pupils enjoying singing together whilst learning English.
We sent out bi-weekly updates.
We also had a lot of fun.
No words, no beats
Just calming music for your summer break
Most importantly - Charge your batteries, family time and time to learn new things.
Try out Just Dance!
Great for Summer Schools and great for family entertainment and exercise.
Digital Tool of the Week (Repeat)
I have shared this tool before, but I wanted to reiterate how good it is.
How to Video -
I have been involved in organizing the Summer School Conference for Counsellors, Inspectors, Academia and Publishers. We had a great conference yesterday and we started our day in a “WONDERFUL” meet and greet on the Wonder platform.

It was fun to see educators roaming the Wonder room screen seeking to meet and greet.
Speaking of Conferences – The ETAI Conference will be taking place this week. I am looking forward to many interesting lectures.
ETAI is online, free and very worthwhile.
Music Joke of the Week
I have a friend who writes music about sewing machines. He is a Singer Songwriter. Or ‘sew’ it ‘seams’.
Thank you to the wonderful Sihrab of Almajd Elementary School-Nazareth for hosting me. I had so much fun singing and laughing with your pupils. Well done and hope to see you again next year.

Things to look out for next year
Another online Learn In Tune professional development course.
Another massive communal teacher online singing project.
Our annual E-talent competition will run again.
A mass singing project involving pupils.
Many more weekly broadcasts, digital ideas and bits to enhance your English lessons.
Thank you to Dr Tziona Levy for her constant advice, enthusiasm and support!
Thank you to the teachers who want to sing and enrich the pupils' learning and who actively take part in sending short clips to show us what you are doing in the field.
Enjoy a well-deserved holiday, and we will catch up with you late August 2021 at the start of the new year.
