(Last week I mistakenly wrote update 78. It was meant to be 67 )
I am so excited. This has been a good week for Learn in Tune – See below.
E-Talent Competition
We have officially doubled our last years registered schools and we are over the moon. Due to the many requests about the registration, I have decided to clarify this processs. Your school needs to be registered by the 31st of December to receive a Flipgrid code. Even if the names of the pupils change, you still have the code.
Parent consent forms will be sent to all schools that register. Videos need to be submitted to the Flipgrid by the 31st of January. This date is final.
Please connect me if you have any questions at learnntune@gmail.com
Here is the presentation that explains it all.

Looking forward to receiving your students’ entries
This is a final call for all elementary teachers to join our 30 hour hishtalmut about learn in tune. The course is due to start very soon. There are still a few places. All the details can be found here.
Wow!!
Do you know what Michael Jordan, JK Rowling, Eminem, Walt Disney and Albert Einstein have in common? They all failed at least once and some were labeled at an early age. Imagine if they would have lifted their hands in the air and said I am not going to try again. Imagine the world without Walt Disney or JK Rowling. Here is nice video to share with your senior primary pupils and jh pupils about famous failures.
I played a nice activity in my class. I gave the pupils stickers with these names and more. Each student had to walk around the classroom and ask yes/no questions to find out who he/she is. Once they found out we spoke about the connection between the personalities. These famous people failed, got up and tried again and again.
Sir Ken Robinson said that, “If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original.” One can only learn from our mistakes. We need to encourage our students that failure is option and is part of the path to success.
Songs to motivate students
Never Giving Up – Fearless Soul

Teacher Appreciation
I am still on last weeks topic of inspirational teachers and educators. I remember my grade 5 class teacher as being a soft, spoken woman with a guitar. She would sing songs to us in class. I still remember the songs, so many years later. You do not have to play a music instrument. You can use YouTube. Singing and moving in class lowers learning anxiety. Surely this is something so positive for the times that we are going through.

Digital Tool of the Week
This tool is an app for your phone. It is called Jiggy
Create funny videos, GIFs and stickers by animating your photos and swapping your body and face with the Jiggy video face swap app
Add funny videos and gifs to your presentations. You and your students can have a lot of fun. You can ask the students to create Gifs, share on a slide and write sentences in the present what each student is doing.
Have fun
Musical Joke of the week
I just downloaded a pirated copy of the Bohemian Rhapsody movie. The quality is terrible. I can only see a little silhouette of man.
Have a great weekend all
