Digital Tool of the Week
Zoom
I am starting with the Digital Tool as Zoom has just released an update with Avatars
Create different characters, record a story with different backgrounds for your pupils, sing a song and bring some life to your Zoom sessions.
Let’s go back in time to last week when I started this broadcast
SAME TIME - LAST WEEK
I wanted to add all sorts of links for Purim songs yet I am a bit under the weather. Not Covid yet the regular old fashioned flu. Hope to shake it off soon. The Maccabeats didn’t let us down with their parody for Purim this year.
Take a look
I have not seen the movie “Encanto” yet I hear it is fantastic. Here is another song from the movie. “We do not talk about Bruno”
The Music & Lyrics are by Lin-Manuel Miranda. It has to be great.
The Northern District Concert is in full preparation - You can find out more about this in a previous update. https://learnntune.wixsite.com/my-site I was fortunate to be hosted in all different sectors in the North and I got to meet so many amazing principals, counselors, teachers and pupils singing songs in English. Each school was unique yet they all had something in common. Singing in English and learning English via song and movement is contagious and enjoyable. You could see this on their faces. Really heartwarming and amazing to see.
You are reading this in one broadcast but a week has passed & that regular old fashioned flu turned out to be regular Covid and it seems that I have spent the last week and a half trying to see through the brain fog.
It is not a walk in the park and each person reacts differently to Covid. What I can say is try to stay on the side of not getting Covid.
Music helped me get through this difficult time and that is the real light at the end of the tunnel. My mom would always tell me that the moment she could hear me singing, I was bound to be feeling better.
Today, I can say that I feel better.
So thanks to “Coldplay for their music and for fixing me

Well done to all the children that took part in the competition.
So much talent and all in English. We will be posting their performances on our site so watch this space. This will be up and running as soon as we can. Things got delayed because of Covid.
The winners can be seen in the March Edition of “Spread the Word”
Thanks again to the teachers and their pupils for their hard work and enthusiasm.

Musical Joke of the Week
Olaf the Norseman is shopping at a bakery when he comes across an old lady almost in tears.
"What's the matter?" asks Olaf.
"Oh," sobs the old lady. "I want to have a look at the frozen puddings but, as you can see, there are many steps to get to the freezers.
"No problem," says Olaf, lifting her onto his back. "I'll take you."
Olaf strolls through the freezers and the old lady selects several puddings and puts them in the basket he is carrying for her.
At the other end the old lady's husband is waiting for her.
"I'd really like to thank you Mr Norseman," says the old lady, "but I don't even know who you are!"
Olaf just walks off and waves.
"I was really worried about you," says the old lady's husband. "What have you been doing?"
She replies, "Well, I've been through the desserts on a Norse with no name."
Stay tuned for more 80’s jokes
