Update 77
No electricity... Maintenance and routine in my neighborhood. This will not stop the broadcasts.
Electricity.. What can I do without electricity and a phone? I can prepare the broadcast.
I started with the famous song from the “Billy Elliott the Musical” "Electricity" is a song composed by English musician Elton John and Lee Hall for Billy Elliot the Musical. Released on 11 July 2005
John. Billy tries to explain how he feels when he is dancing. "I can't really explain it. I haven't got the words..."
I feel similar when I am listening to music and singing. It's a totally encompassing experience. I am sure there are a lot of you that feel the same way.
CBL or CLIL
Today's topic is CBL or Content based learning. In Europe it is called CLIL or Content and Language Learning. Organizing your content to teach a certain language structure. It can also relate to teaching other school subjects through English. There is so much room for creativity.
There are so many ideas that one can bring into your classrooms
The whole chocolate fiasco and salmonella that is a hot topic for discussion.
World climate, recycling and of course electricity.
Energy Conservation
There are many sources on the internet. One just needs to look.
Be creative and share with others. There are a lot of options on the portal as well.
Choose wisely and of course incorporate music as much as possible.
What is CLIL?

Step Up Webinars
Last week I was privileged to take part in the Step Up webinar where I showed many concrete examples of ideas for the last two months of school. I hear teachers saying that there is not much time until the end of the year. And I say it is an ideal time to be using song, music and movement in your classrooms.
There's still time for Elementary and JH teachers to register for Monday's STEP UP online conference. All are welcome!

Musical Joke of the Week
Out of respect for the days of Yom Hashoa and Yom Hazikaron I will not be posting a musical joke this week. This gives me time to focus on the magnitude of the events this week and time to listen to the radio filled with solemn songs. Listening to the songs this week and in preparation for the week to come I feel the music and nature of the songs engulf me entirely.
Digital Tool of the Week
AR - Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory and olfactory.
