Happy Friday the 13th to all of us. A difficult day for some, a lucky day for others.

I am not saying I am superstitious, yet I feel very uncomfortable when a black cat skips into the road in front of my car and I try very hard not to walk under ladders. This may mean that I am superstitious. According to Stevie Wonder’s song,

“When you believe in things that you don’t understand Then you suffer, superstition ain't the way”

So whatever you believe in - Happy Friday the 13th to all of us.

Geoffrey Arnold Beck (24 June 1944 – 10 January 2023) was an English guitarist who passed away this week. He assisted Stevie Wonder with this song as well. Here is a video of them playing together.

This is the first official broadcast of 2023 and I thought it would be nice to look back on past broadcasts to see if there are any ideas / thoughts that are relevant today.

NB Last week I wrote about a school in Mazkeret Batya that performed an English song in front of the whole school. I unintentionally omitted the teacher’s name and I do want to commend him. Well done to Tal Miller, their teacher for this inspirational clip. Please see the last broadcast for the clip.

One of all time favorites from Stevie Wonder too

“Stevie Wonder has a perfect song for every conceivable human emotion ever” is one of the comments about Stevie’s Songs.

P.S. Bought a friend a fridge for his birthday. You should have seen his face light up when he opened it.

Enjoy the weekend and have a Shabbat Shalom and a restful weekend.
