Hannukah is just around the corner and this year we need to share the light.

Assaf Avidan, born in Israel sings, “One day baby, we'll be old

Oh baby, we'll be old and think of all the stories that we could have told

A beautiful song that sums up my feelings of the period and I am adamant to let the light in through the cracks. We need some light now

Shoshana Damari sings about Light too. Here is a translated version of her famous song. This is another song that can be sung in a trilingual manner as suggested in the previous broadcast.

“Sunshine, bring on the sunshine

when my clouds are closing in

I shut my eyes so tightly

but all the sunshine is within” Translated from the original

- We used this version translated by Nadavi Noked for our concert in the north two years ago. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions the concert day never happened. Yet we recorded a studio version. Here the song is performed by soprano Goni Kanani from the Israeli Opera and Maestro Dodi Zeba, the house conductor of Simfonet Ra'anana, on the piano.

My happy corner - Smile of the week

I like to find instances that involve music / movement that make me smile.

It’s not easy to smile and be happy during these times yet I owe it to myself to search for meaning and music is where I find the answers.

This is Huillo who was filmed at a young age with his father at a Coldplay concert in Mexico. Here at the concert you can see him very emotional.

Huillo is autistic and he is now writing his own music. Coldplay described the video as the best they have ever seen. At age 12,he was invited by Coldplay to sing with them on stage. Here you can see Huillo with Coldplay singing one of Huillo’s original songs.

A challenging day on the sports field

Choose from the available pics and tweak the prompt. Enjoy

As always, check this tool before you use it in class.
