I did my cleaning for this year. Albeit virtual cleaning but I am proud of my achievement. I created a colourful site with all the updates and now that will become the official blog of Learn in Tune.

If you missed a bi-weekly update feel free to browse and see how much we have achieved as a community. The broadcasts started in February 2019 and have been regularly broadcasted since then.

I have learnt a few things along the way.

1) The broadcasts have become richer over the months.

2) There is no place for you to comment and that is why I opened the blog. I welcome your comments and suggestions.

3) These broadcasts are one directional on WhatsApp but I really want you to share your ideas as well. So please do - via the blog / email at learnntune@gmail.com.

I hope you had / are having / will have a good spring break. For those of you that are celebrating Easter – I would like to wish you a good holiday.

This time of the year means Yom Hashoah – Holocaust Memorial Day and I want to impress how important the day is as a Memorial Day so that all our pupils understand this kind of history can never be repeated.

and Learning about the Holocaust Can Help Educators

I am reminded of the song that we used to sing when I was younger about Zaide. Zaide is a Yiddush word for grandfather and this song is very pertinent.

Digital Tool of the Week 1

LingoBingo

Teachers: Set up a new game for your students. You will first choose a word/picture list & game options. Then you'll invite players to join by QR code or room.

Really a fun and interactive way to learn vocabulary and different concepts.

Digital Tool of the Week 2

As part of my Pessach clean up – I revamped the page of digital tools that can be used for all different activities.

Have a look and feel free to send me ideas to add to this list

Finally I would like to end off with this song called Never Again by Soul Arashs

History is like a merry go round, and you can either focus on the rider that changes or you can focus on the same horse that goes around every single time. We must stay diligent so that something as horrific as the Holocaust cannot happen ever again, never again.

Below are the lyrics

Lyrics: Why must their people blamed? Woah oh, woah oh To be the one that they shame? Woah oh, woah oh But what's their fault that you condemn, What's their crime, what's their sin? Just to be born of this heritage? They say we can learn from history, But oh, we forget so easily? They say we can learn from history, Woah oh, woah oh And we say Never Again! No Never Again! Never Again... But it's never the end, and we must still stand with them. Now is the time to speak up, Woah oh, woah oh Now is the time we must stand up, Woah oh, woah oh We are chosen to be the voice for the ones who have no choice, We are chosen to be their voice And we say Never Again! No never Again! Never Again... But it's never the end, We must still stand with them. Look at the horse it goes round and round, Round and round, on this merry-go-round Look at the horse it goes round and round, Woah oh, woah oh And we say Never Again! No never Again! Never Again... But it's never the end, We must still stand with them. They say we can learn from History, But oh, we forget so easily? They say we can learn from History, Woah oh, woah oh If you would like to purchase the album which contains this song plus 11 other originals you can at http://www.ashsoular.com and you can also stream it on Spotify and Amazon.

Have a great weekend and a fantastic spring.
